Fearrington Village is a mixed-use community located on farmland dating back to the 18th century in Pittsboro. The community began in 1974 when R.B. Fitch and his late wife Jenny purchased the two-centuries old dairy farm from Jesse Fearrington. The community is built into several different neighborhoods with townhomes, patio homes, single family homes and even an assisted living complex called Galloway Ridge. The village has shops and restaurants and it is most famous for it's belted galloway cows and fainting goats. Fearrington is located south of Chapel Hill just off of 15/501.
